Animal & Crop Farmer, Bookkeeper and Fiancé
My fiancé and I live in Somerset, WI where we are 6th generation farmers growing corn, soybeans, and wheat. We also grow cover crops which include rye and a radish/clover mix. We have gradually switched over to a no-till type tillage system because of our sandier soil which helps reduce erosion and nutrient loss for our future crops. We recently remodeled our home which is surrounded by the family-owned land that we rent for growing our crops. We have also been growing numerous vegetables, squash, pumpkins, and cucumbers for the past three years which we sell through the summer and fall.
