Sara Hewitt
5th generation farmer, wife and mother
I own and operate a diversified farm operation alongside my husband and 2 children. Together we raise corn, soybeans, hay, beef, registered Suffolk sheep, honey bees, cut flowers and pumpkins. We directly sell our beef, lamb, honey, flowers and pumpkins through our website, farmers markets and roadside stands. Fun fact -both my husband and I work full time jobs in agriculture in addition to farming!
I love connecting others to our farm and providing food for our community!

Do you farm with family?
My husband and I run our farm together.
What are your hobbies?
Coaching volleyball, reading, camping and baking.
Why is sharing information about agriculture and farming important to you?
I love creating connections between people and our farm—it opens the door to meaningful conversations. Whether it’s sharing how we raise our animals, grow our crops, or just inviting someone to ask a question they’ve never had the chance to ask, there’s something powerful about making that first connection.
Tell us a quick story from the farm.
My husband and I continue to farm land that has been in my family for over a century now. I love that we are giving our children the opportunity to grow up the way we were raised, learning to care for the land and animals.
