Farm Wife, Mom, + Certified Crop Advisor

I’m a Certified Crop Advisor for a local ag retailer, where I sell seed, fertilizer, and crop protection products. But more importantly, I work directly with farmers to help them make the best agronomic decisions for their operations. At home and on my parents’ farm, I wear a few other hats—running field meals, chasing parts, and jumping in the grain cart when needed. It’s a mix of agronomy and hands-on farm work, and I love being part of both sides of agriculture. My agronomy career blends seamlessly with both my husband’s farm and his rock and lime business, as well as my dad’s farming operation. I like to say I’m the “built-in agronomist” for the family—helping with seed decisions, fertility plans, and crop protection strategies, whether we’re in the field or around the dinner table. Whether I’m scouting fields, organizing inputs, running meals, or jumping into the grain cart, I’m proud to be a farm wife, a farm daughter—and now, a farm mom. Agriculture is more than just a job for us; it’s a way of life, and it’s one we’re raising the next generation to love just as much.

Do you farm with family?

Yes, I help out on my dad’s farm, as well as staying involved on my husband’s family farm.

What are your hobbies?

I love gardening and working outside, I also enjoy doing random crafty things here and there!

Why is sharing information about agriculture and farming important to you?

One thing I want people to know is that our farm is built on family, hard work, and a deep commitment to doing things the right way—from the soil up. Agriculture isn’t just our livelihood; it’s our way of life, and we take pride in caring for the land, our animals, and the food we help produce. Sharing information about farming is so important to me because there’s often a gap between how food is grown and what people understand about it. I love being able to answer questions, clear up misconceptions, and show the heart behind agriculture. When people can connect a face and a family to the food on their plate, that’s powerful—and I’m proud to be part of that conversation.

Tell us a quick story from the farm.

When my husband and I first started dating, I brought him supper out in the field and hopped in for a few rounds in his old sprayer. The fuel gauge didn’t work, but we figured we had enough. We didn’t. Just as the sun dipped below the horizon, the engine sputtered and died—stranding us in the middle of the field. It wasn’t planned, but the aftermath and problem solving? One of my favorite first memories.
