Sarah McCabe
Mom + Farm Wife
I help on the farm alongside my husband and his father. I’m also a former middle school teacher and now work for Nutrien Ag Solutions. On the farm, I help operate grain cart during harvest, very rarely but occasionally help the boys tile by running the dozer. I bring meals out to them, run them around to fields, and bring parts. I also run my son around to all the machines so he can ride in them with Daddy & Grandpa.

Do you farm with family?
Yes. My husband and his dad farm together. I help out when I can. I make meals, operate grain cart, run for parts, help with bookwork, etc.
What are your hobbies?
Reading, writing, hunting, fishing
Why is sharing information about agriculture and farming important to you?
Sharing about Agriculture is important because there are far more people out there who are not involved in farms than are involved. Those involved need to ensure they are helping educate everyone on agriculture, how it can look different everywhere, and why its so important no matter who you are.
Tell us a quick story from the farm.
I didn’t grow up around agriculture, so I was thrown into a whole new world when I met my husband 10 years ago. He’s been farming alongside his dad, who farmed alongside his father, who I believe farmed alongside his father even – so our farm has been formed over many generations. They created their operation from the ground up, and some people have come and gone since. But it’s been amazing to see the ins and outs of modern day farming, and to help out in the field more and more each year. We’re excited to see where our kids can one day take the farm!
