Why is sharing information about agriculture and farming important to you?
Our livelihood and way of life is impacted by consumers across the world and it’s really important we understand their questions and work to build connections. I want to share the story of how we raise our beef and how much care goes into farming – both for the land and our animals.
Tell us a quick story from the farm.
I grew up on a cash crop and dairy steer farm. This was expanded to include some lambs during my 4-H years. My dad took over the operation from his dad who started as a sharecropper. My husband and I are involved in the farm in hopes of a transition occurring to the next generation. Corn, beans, dairy steers, and sheep are still raised on the family farm.
