Ag Teacher, Baker, + Flower Farmer

I started my flower farm in 2024: Fields of Plenty Farm. We grow specialty cut flowers including spring bulbs of tulips and summer/fall annuals along with gourmet garlic and seasonal produce consumers pick up weekly.  There are currently 3000+ garlic cloves in the ground! Garlic sales will start July 2026. We planted 3000 blueberry plants spring of 2025 and summer of 2027 we will be opening our UPick blueberry operation. We also raise and sell beef cattle.  My career as an ag teacher keeps my schedule and heart full but I am on the farm anytime I’m not in the ag classroom!

Do you farm with family?

Yes. My boyfriend and his parents currently. I grew up on my family’s dairy and beef farm.

What are your hobbies?

Baking, cooking, learning, reading reference books, exercising, crafting, I am pretty interested in most topics, other than video games. 🙂

Why is sharing information about agriculture and farming important to you?

I am grateful for the opportunity to share about our love for the land and the livestock on it. Consumers want to know where their food, fiber, and fuel are coming from. I love living a life where I get to constantly learn and teach others about our land and livestock!

Tell us a quick story from the farm.

Our flower fields are located near the dairy barn. My boyfriend, Austin, his brother and his finance were all working on planting the last sunflowers of the season. All of a sudden we looked up and saw eight curious heifers walking toward the flower fields. I saw 100s of hours of work flash before my eyes imagining the cattle stomping on the precious harvest ready blooms! Thankfully, we were able to get them back in their gate quickly and without any bloom casualties. We laughed about it immediately and thanked the Lord for the safety of the flowers.
