5th generation farmer, wife, + new mom
My husband and I are both 5th generation farmers, but on our own land. We raise beef cattle and grow grass, and I also work off the farm as a Regional Sales and Development Manager for an international agribusiness. I am also a new mom, and recently finished my PhD program!
Do you farm with family?
Yes. We own our own farm, but our friends and family come out to help with farm activities such as fencing and moving cattle when needed.. or when they need a trip to the farm for the day!
What are your hobbies?
Quilting, Running
Why is sharing information about agriculture and farming important to you?
As a farmer, I eat the same food as everyone else does and I shop at the same places. I’m passionate about that, agriculture, and growing food for all. Ask me any questions! Everyone uses agriculture every day so having the knowledge about how agriculture touches everyone is good to know.
Tell us a quick story from the farm.
My farm, Brenny Farms, is owned and operated by my husband and me. We established the farm in 2008 and are both 5th generation farmers, but on our own land. We are both busy with careers off the farm in agriculture, helping other farmers and are actively involved with several agriculture organizations. Our goal is to share our farm story with others.
