Crop + Beef Farmer and Ag Advocate

My husband and I were first generation dairy farmers for 30 years. While we still grow crops, corn, soybeans and hay, the dairy cows are gone and still missed every day. Fortunately we are blessed with a small herd of beef cows, which give us a good reason to get up every morning. I have returned to my roots at Byrns Greenhouse in Zim, MN 3 days a week to help my family’s 4th generation greenhouse operation.

Why is sharing information about agriculture and farming important to you?

Since we are such a small community in agriculture, making it imperative that we share agriculture’s great story with the 98% of people who don’t know much about where their food comes from.

Tell us a quick story from the farm.

It’s been a crazy busy time as we are repurposing ourselves. The one thing that remains constant is our passion for all things agriculture.
